Bauchi APC gov candidate’s office burnt: Hoodlums suspected to have sympathy for a political party, on Friday, set ablaze the Bauchi South Senatorial District campaign office of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship standard-bearer, Alhaji Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar. The action was seen as a retaliation of an attack on President Goodluck Jonathan and his convoy on Thursday in which six of his security aides were injured. PDP billboards and posters within the Bauchi metropolis were equally vandalised. The campaign office, located at Unguwan Jaki junction, on Kobi Street, in Bauchi, was believed to have been attacked at about 2.30 a.m. Residents said the fire, which raged for about two hours, was set by some people who came in three Toyota Hilux vans.
