Be critical when you shop! Do you really need that pack of cookies or that chocolate bar? Go over your past shopping receipts, put a check beside items you really needed and an x beside the ones you bought because they were on sale. I found I bought quite a bit of impulse items due to their being on sale. I didnt even need those items. Due to rising costs, I found I have much less money to spend on groceries and have nothing left to save. I have gone thru my bills and payments, thinking of where I can cut costs. Credit cards, money loans are salary killers! Get them paid off as soon as you can!! Might sound strange but I found that out the hard way. Now Im paying off what I can miss, and hope to have it paid off in 15 months. If you get a tax refund, or a bit of extra vacation or overwork money, do yourself a favor and make an extra payment. Ive cut my credit card in half so I wont be tempted to use it again. When everything is paid off, Ill have an extra $250 a month extra to save or spend!
