“Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15 A highly spiritual believer understands their foundation. They seek to be firmly planted in truth and pure doctrine. Knowing scripture and rightly applying it are two different things. It is the same as the difference between knowledge and wisdom. Knowledge is stored information, and wisdom is the ability to accurately apply it. But in order to become wise, first you need knowledge. Sometimes in a Christian walk, other things in life begin to distract us from needful study. Righteousness is obedience to the word of God. So then, if you are seeking to grow in your walk, you must grow in knowledge.
