Be slow to comment but quick to pray. I remembering carrying my daughter in my womb. The kicks, the flutters, then I remember the 1st time I laid eyes on her and held her in my arms. I instantly had an unconditional love for her. Im sure all of you mothers out there can remember these moments that Im describing. Now fast forward in your mind to years later. That little bundle of joy makes poor choices. Gets into trouble. Maybe even horrific , cant hardly wrap your mind around it trouble. Do you stop loving them? Of course not. You may have a lot of different emotions that surface but disowning them and not loving them anymore does not cross a mothers mind. Im so thankful that my mothers love comes with no conditions. That when I was arrested for a pending class A felony that she called prayer warriors and asked them to pray for me and the day that I had to appear in court for that crime. She was right there with me. She was a bundle of nerves but she was there. She knew that I was in bondage and needed a heart change. My mothers unconditional love for me and her prayers without ceasing is what changed my heart and brought me to my knees and to a place of repentance. Remember, there is only one unforgivable sin and its very easy to comment on situations, give our views and say what we think should be done but until we walk in someones shoes. We dont know how they feel. If we dont have anything positive to say even in negative situations. Its best to say nothing at all. Saying something that could make someone feel worse than they are already feeling only adds fuel to a fire and can cause a lot of unnecessary drama.
