Be still and know that (the) I AM (is) God This (slightly modified) scriptural passage sums up the whole journey and the realization that the journey leads to.....Union withGod is not something that you now somehow lack and need to attain at some future date. Union with God is the realization of the fact that your own being-ness is already God and that it always has been and always will be. Union with God is the recognition of that reality which has always been present at the core of your being AS the core of your being. No effort is needed to attain God because your being, your simple presence, sentience or consciousness itself, already IS GOD. But much effort (to be still) is needed to let go of all that obscures and gets in the way of this simple recognition of what has always already been the case all along.
