Be wary of what I have come to refer to as waystation - TopicsExpress

Be wary of what I have come to refer to as waystation libertarians--the ones who adopt libertarian ideas a *bit* too quickly, without a lot of study and thought and reading, who are not familiar with the classics or our history or serious economic and political philosophy, often who come in through electoral activism or youthful college enthusiasm -- often they are just passing through on their never-ending journey of discovery; libertarianism is just a temporary waystation for them. Better sometimes to just wait for them to burn out, drop out, inevitably join the left or the right, or finally disappear in a minor fury of depression and unemployment.
