Be ye not easily offended. Add many of you know I shoot a litl pool, Im not very good, probably about a 4 speed:) Sometimes I get a litl slack about being in bars shooting pool, and being around sinners, and thats ok,I come from a Pentecostal background,I understand the questions, but thats a whole different lesson, so Ill stick to the subject at hand. As i play pool and talk with people, at times we have disagreements, and sometimes we even have heated disagreements, thats just life, it happens. As I sit here at lunch and ponder,I notice that when I have a situation that they all are resolved and we continue on as if nothing ever happened, we get past things by apologies, and resume. Then I think about church people, if we have Situation, it seems they just go away, they never voice the problem, they dont ever say there is a problem, they must stop all communication, and I find it odd that the sinners are quick to see the fraction and apologize, and the relationship is restored. I dont really have a answer to this,I must notice it, and wonder how it is, what it is. Ive had situations where a physical altercation was brewing and it seemed like a fight was inevitable, but then everything calmed down, and reason was considered, then apologies were exchanged and the relationship restored. And I find it intriguing that when I have a disagreement with people that say they are Christian, they just vanish, nothing said, no explanation, no reason, just poof! Their gone! Im ok with it I guess, Im sure they have their reason, but I just marvel how a sinner shows more character and integrity that some......and I do say....some people that are suppose to be a Christian, how can this be? Most of the time Im answering peoples questions, but right now Im really baffled on this. The bible tells us not to be easily offended, and it seems like Christians, or people that profess Christianity are the most easily offended people. One things for sure, the true test of love, of peace, maturity, is how you deal with abrasive things. Be ye not easily offended.
