Bear with me... This is a completely random Share on my part. When I was a little kid I my dad was in the military. My family and i lived in Plattsburgh... California... Spain... I always Loved to visit my family... grand parents ... aunts ... uncles... cousins... in Medina where my Dad was from in between moving to the places my family was being stationed to. I always dreamed of being grown up .... walking up on my grandmas porch... knocking on the door .... playing the Will she recognize me / reunion game just to see her face light up. Medina always represented that Norman Rockwell postcard way of living for me. When my Dad retired we moved to Medina and I got to finish school there. While it maintained the Rockwell image finishing school there....in recent years is has lost a little of that Shine. I hope it all comes back. Great place to grow up. The Medina Canal Days was the first time I ever sang in public. One song. An old nylon string acoustic guitar. A folding chair. A very nervous kid. The tune... My Home Town by Bruce. Perfect tune for that day. Last night while ironing a shirt for a date the song popped into my head. I decided to record it. I know its odd. But here it is.... with one minor lyric modification. Sorry to boar you. Did this more for me and friends from Medina. If it strikes a chord then... all the better. Enjoy. Maybe. Lol T
