Beau is now Bo! We never keep the names of an owner surrender dog, mostly because the person who named them failed them and our new name for them is also like a new start... a new life. But Beau really is a Bo so we are changing the spelling of his name to resemble the great Bo Jackson. And speaking of great, Bo is just that. He is such a loving dog and despite being sick right now with a bad round of kennel cough, he is loving everyone he meets and everything about his new life. He scares very easily - he was getting his medicine and the peanut butter scared him so much he retreated to his cage for an hour before coming back out. But he is making progress. We decided to wait for his neuter until he gained a little more wait, too. By the looks of it he most likely didnt eat the entire 10 days he was at animal control due to stress. He had a good appetite now and is on Fromms food donated by his temp foster. Bo is a special dog, one that needed rescue. Some dogs can just be put on an adoption floor but his case requires some experience and a lot of patience so we are extremely grateful to our foster, Rhonda for stepping up to start his recovery. Bo will be looking for another foster within a few weeks since this is a temp situation and we are hoping to find only the best for this big sweetheart. He will join our training program and we are confident he will be not only a well balanced dog, but an amazing addition to a family.
