Beautiful Tapestry , from Alejandro Magno *** # SOME HISTORY - The October 1, 331 BC took place one of the most famous battles of antiquity, the Battle of Gaugamela (or Battle of Arbela), in which Alexander won decisively defeat Darius III, king of Persia, ending the once powerful empire. The Persians possessed a vastly superior army troops in the Macedonian army.
