Beautiful, beautiful Syrian children, Mashaa Allah at the refugee camp that the Al Fatiha Global and #Aid4Syria team visited today to deliver essential supplies such as baby milk and financial aid to the families who have seen little aid for many months. The little princess in bright pink was the star of this camp today...pleased by something as little as a packet of crisps that were given to her. She danced for at least five minutes in joy! Note the basic conditions they live in; wearing mismatched and often wrong sized clothes and shoes in the muddy, damp environment of these tent cities they now call home. But the one thing that no one can take away from these beautiful children is their desire to live life to full...wherever they may be and however they are forced to live by the circumstances around them! None have been in school for the last three years...but all are mature beyond their years...by the trauma and suffering that they have been through along with their families...some lost, some killed along this journey they remain in until a solution is reached. Our arrival put smiles on their faces that distracted them momentarily from their daily predicament. It is something that will stay with us humanitarians forever...and compels people like myself, Kasim Jameel and all the humanitarians that work with refugees to come back again anad again....a feeling that leaves us dutybound as long as this crisis exists.
