Dick, as well as the post-modern, “I do what I want, and pay the price” situationism of hardcore punk bands like The Germs. They synthesize a digital world in which purpose and feeling seem to fluidly trade off dominant roles. Though the stream-of-consciousness beatnik elements of the sound are quite present, Damon & Helios play an actively experiential role in shaping it.
