He’s cut 2 CD’s with The Wheel & 3 with Royal Southern Brotherhood & he recently produced & played on slide guitarist Samantha Fish’s new album Black Wind Howlin’. Now they tour together as a great double bill Born in St. Louis, based in Texas, Mike won a Blues Music award with Cyril Neville for “Song of the Year” for “Pearl River. He made his name with Royal Southern Brotherhood but is now focused on his own band The Wheel - Scot Sutherland bs, Rob Lee dr, Jimmy Carpenter sax & Lewis Stephens keys. They cut Mike’s excellent ‘Gone To Texas’ CD and their new ‘Songs From The Road’ CD/DVD. Kansas City-based slide guitarist Samantha Fish toured & recorded with the BLUES CARAVAN/GIRLS WITH GUITARS (Cassie Taylor / Dani Wilde). Her solo debut ‘Runaway’ CD won the Blues Music Award (BMA) for “Best New Artist Debut” in 2012. In 2013 she released her second solo record ‘Black Wind Howlin’ produced by Mike Zito.
