Because I noticed that students borrow calculators during quizzes, - TopicsExpress

Because I noticed that students borrow calculators during quizzes, I announced that as a Standard Operating Procedure during quizzes and examination, students who do not have their own calculators cannot take the test. This is to avoid borrowing of calculators from their seatmates, and the possible "borrowing of answers". A while ago, there was a scheduled quiz on Adjusting Journal Entries. After arranging the seats (for which the students were given previous instructions to arrange the seats so time can be saved). While I was distributing the test questionnaire, I noticed a "calculator" being laid down on the arm chair, face-down. I got it so I can use it as a paper weight for the test questionnaires. To my surprise, it is only the cover of a calculator. And the following transpired: Teacher: Asa ang calculator ani? Ngano cover lang man ni? Student: (Student caught off-guard) Bitaw Sir noh, asa diay ang calculator ana? Teacher: Ambot, imoha man ni. Other students seated near "that student": Bay, basi naa lang sa imo bag. Student: (Nangita sa iyang gamay nga shoulder bag. Nakit-an nako ang toothbrush nga gibalot ug cellophane pero way calculator.) I still allowed him to take the quiz. After 5 minutes, he stood up and said: Sir, dili makaya. Manghulam ko ug calculator sa pikas class. Di ba nag announce na ko na dapat prepared mo??? First year pa intawun pero may "talent" na. Mao ni mo abot ug 4th year, na ....... labad ni sa ulo sa mga teachers.
