Because a small riot in no way impedes a possible crime scene investigation. Because a protest is most effective before all the facts of a case are known. Because explosions of any kind are the perfect pairing with gas stations. Because QuikTrip has become the collateral damage target in Missouri. Because, if the reports are correct, an officer was defending himself. No one could be expected not to when a weapon is brandished in his/her direction. Im tired of these scenes in my state. Yes, a tragedy has occurred. Loss of life is always a tragedy. Whether intentionally taken, or as the result of defending ones self. Someone, be it friend, sibling, parent, partner...someone suffers when a life is lost. Loss of respect for the order of law, due process and peaceful protest is also a tragedy.
