Because my man was a fireman and was on shift for 24 hours so he thought I needed a pistol. It was at the bottom of the dirty clothes wicker basket in my bedroom. My children, 6th and 7th graders, knew guns. they owned guns . I picked up the basket to take the dirty clothes to the Laundromat and found a gunshot hole through my bedroom wall. Neither of my precious honest children admitted to messing around in MY room and of course neither of my precious honest children admitted to firing the pistol.
