Because they know most people who call themselves Christian will follow anyone who says they are Christian, often without thought. Jesus said he was sending us out as sheep amongst wolves and we were to be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. Most Christians only heard the sheep part and have submitting to anyone who holds a bible in their hand or can say a prayer. All these Christian folks and very few seem to remember John 4:1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. I had to look this all up, I never could remember bible verses correctly, but Im got just enough brain cells still working to know if you trying to drown me I need to fight back, no matter how many bible verses you know.
