Becky Newport...Help! I need some advise please ? I recently rescued a 3 to 4 yr old female dachund from the denver animal shelter. She is a beautiful little girl with a sweet disposition. She has one problem that I am seriously worried about. She has snapped and growled at my young grandchildren and I am afarid she will actually bite one of them ? Does anyone know how to break this pattern. I am afraid I wont be able to keep her if she is going to bite someone, I cant have her biting my grandchildren they range in age form 4 to 12yrs old. I have had 4 other dachunds and never encountered this behavior.I really dont want to loose this little girl she is special and is working out very well with my other 2 little guys and Grandpa says she is a good dog. Ok so I am open to suggestions anyone would have and Thank you for reading my post.!
