Becoming a Christian in no way ushers us into a life of perfection. If that actually happened, then why in the world is the Bible filled with counsel on forgiving others, accepting their failures, and focusing on their strengths? I love what Ruth Graham once so wisely said: Its my job to love Billy. Its Gods job to make him good. Replace the name Billy with the name of your mate, your parent, your child, your boss, and especially your pastor. With all humility . . . showing tolerance for one another in love.
