Becuase so many have contacted me ... We are not losing the farm / house. My husband was diagnosed with Stage 4 Melanoma. Unlike many other cancers in this stage, there are no treatments that offer a cure or delay in the inevitable. So Charlie has chosen to remain healthy (untreated with experiments) as long as he can. Unfortunately, we live VERY remote (our closest neighbor is 2.5 miles in either direction). My husband and I both realize that I cant stay in our home alone ... for many reasons. So we now face the daunting task of selling 30 acres, with a large home, a small guest cabin, a small barn, a large barn and ALL their contents. This is even more daunting because the area we live in is very depressed, remote area with no outlet to sell. We honestly dont want to spend his last days selling, but we have no choice.
