Beef and Barley Soup 1 pound beef tenderloin (or your favourite cut of beef) cubed 1 tablespoon oil 1 onion - chopped 1 tablespoon garlic powder 2 ribs celery - chopped 2 carrots - diced 1 small turnip - diced 3 beef oxo cubes 1/2 cup barley 8 cups water Salt and pepper to taste Heat oil in pot and add beef for 5-6 minutes then add onion Mix in garlic powder, water and bring to a boil. As the soup is coming to a boil, add in celery, carrot, turnip and beef oxo When it comes to a boil add barley and simmer. You may have to turn heat back up to keep soup to a bubble so the barley will cook When barley is tender and salt and pepper to taste Enjoy
