Been a bittersweet beautiful day. This Fiery Angel Project has brought up some unfinished business I didnt expect and I have had several conversations with my ex husband about the songs I wrote and am recording. So much of it covers our divorce and the heart break we walked through as our dream of a family unravelled and came to an end. I am very grateful we have worked hard to forgive each other and raise Zeta . In my life it is the one thing I am most proud of. Not of getting divorced but of healing the hurt so we could not only be good parents to Zeta but truly care for one another once again. He is a great father and has gone on to marry a wonderful ,kind woman who loves him and Zeta. I really like and appreciate her. Of course I remarried my love Jeremy. I had sworn off men and marriage and then met him at a retreat I went to heal from the divorce. HAHA! He was my teacher! Nice one Steph. Truthfully he is a great match for me...patient, kind, grounded, supportive ,non judgemental and he loves me and Zeta. So here we all are a few years down the road .. our family of 3 is now 5 plus a nana, a Mexican ./ German family in Texas and an Italian one up North. We have been humbled and tenderized by life, and I believe after all better for it. We are still a family , just a little different than the one I planned. I want to thank my ex husband for supporting me up to making this music and my husband now ( Jeremy) for encouraging me to share it. Tonight Im spent and ready to call it a night but before I do I want to share this song I wrote with Mark Marchetti during the hardest time in my life so far called Prayer in the Dark .
