Been a few days since updating. Our favorite friends came for thanksgiving and whats an event without McKenzie making her own show right?! Seems the strep that caused the eye infection last month, went dormant and then came back full force to a bacterial infection. So last night, her daddy and I packed up and headed in for some fluids and medicine. The strong antibiotic they give her, is usually what does the trick, along with her D10. We were home by 330 and tucked in. This morning she has ate and drank. Shes trying hard to kick this thing. We are keeping her in her room for most of the day to rest and recharge those batteries as much as we can. Im so proud of her for being brave last night for her IV and doctors. And Im also thankful for having some of the greatest at our house so we didnt have to drag Maelynne out and drop her off with my mom. That was a huge help!!! So I think we are in the clear (as much as she can be) and we will be able to enjoy our Thanksgiving at home. :-) GO KENZIE!
