Been a member of this page for a while, just never posted...Thank you everyone for helping these animals..My story, I am Tom owner of Fallen Horse Rescue, located in Mathis, about 4yrs ago, we asked, is there a need for a horse rescue?, and who do we talk to??, a week later i took in three skin and bone walking skeletons..with in 6 months we had 30 horses here, and in two years we have saved over 40 horses,that came thru our doors,So yes there is a big need for a horse rescue, This does not count the ones we helped re-home with just pictures, and we do it all on just 5 acres,We have taken 3 horses off the highway, people are dumping them just like they do cats & dogs. We came out on kii tv3 news, the houston paper, and Edenberg news, we received 4 total donations, We desperately need more donations to get hay,feed, finish shelters, pay vet bills to geld the males, without more help,,we will be forced to close the doors here in October,we have already stopped taking in calls, we are only doing the emergency or sheriff dept calls...
