Been eager to try this one for a while now, thanks to Rob Bouchard at Leos for getting them in. Ive had multiple people ask me whether or not an IPA should be aged or consumed fresh. Ive always said fresh and this beer is a good example of why. It impresses from the moment you pop the cap and get hit by aromas of grapefruit, mango and tangerine. You simply dont get blown away from the aroma of a beer when it sits for months in a bottle. Pouring into a glass reveals its gold color and fantastic head that laces the glass nicely while drinking. The taste is an extension of the aroma, very fruity, bitter (probably 90 IBUs) and a hint of aged cheddar. Very drinkable considering the 9.4% ABV. This beer, for me is everything a DIPA should be.
