Been living in Shenzhen, China by some factories for 3 yrs now. (& Hong Kong the 1st yr at the same time) In that time, I set up a business, met a bunch of new friends and learned enough Chinese to get by. Now that my business is more stable, I moved to the city center of Shenzhen last week and I was shocked to find 5 different kinds of mustard when I couldnt find one in my old hood. Change is good and we should always be thinking ahead. Looking forward to the next chapter of my China life! pic 1: The top is an example of the crap apts I saw, 725 USD/month. The bottom is the one I chose, 800 USD/month. Some agencies quoted me different prices from other agencies because Im a foreigner....lol. Most apts in China come fully furnished and people rarely buy or move furniture. pic 2: I checked out 15 apts in 5 neighborhoods in Oct/Nov. Then checked out 23 apts in 1 neighborhood in March. Research is important. pic 3: Entertainment/shopping district 5 min from my place.
