Been thinking...LOOK OUT!! lol I have a couple questions but must first premise it with a few happenstances. My conversion. Everybody has a story and where Im not into stories, it is relevant to the questions. 1983 I knelt in a church and prayed for forgiveness and salvation. When I knelt, I was a drug addict (pot) , cigarette craving, foul mouth, substance user (ANYTHING!!), rowdy, so an so. When I stood up from that deliverance, ALL of that was instantly, radically and miraculously GONE!! Not even a hint of a craving. Nope, not even the cigarettes. I have seen this same work of God on several others that I know also. Now, keep in mind, I did not go to that church to be saved, wasnt looking for anything, wasnt trying to quit anything...it just happened. Question #1- Did the Holy Spirit make a mistake and over save me? Did he save me as a legalist in order to humble me later? #2- Did or does He make that same mistake with all the other radical conversions that are similar? #3- Being that most folks preconceived notions and/or upbringing are that they CAN do these things and be OK with God, is it possible to rule that factor out? #4- If I wasnt trying to nor looking for anything, (as others were not also that I know of), then was not ALL this work done by the Spirit? Im not saying either way yet here. Still pondering. Remember, A thousand heads are better than one!! :)
