Been thinking a lot as all my friends are getting sick with Chikungunya and in pain. When I was sick with fever chills, I could not stop shaking and prayed God would stop it, then was calm. God is our healer. Its hard to be weak, but in our weakness, He is strong. Pain is the great equalizer. It brings you to your knees. It makes you more humble and sensitive to the needs of others. It undermines all hierarchies. It enables you to be honest and authentic. It empowers you to ask for unconditional love and support from others and be willing to offer the same in return.
