Been thinking about Feedback Loops. We all play with them, and some of us use the Feedback loops to hold us up and affirm who we are. We use feedback loops when we are feeling broken, or shame, or want desperately to be seen and loved just the way we are. Facebook can be one huge Feedback Loop. It sounds like this: I am love met with You are Love, I found me met with I see you, I am me met withYou are you, I love me met with I love you, Can you love me like this? met with I can love you more like this. Its kinda like response chat. So why do we need this feedback loop? I wrote to one friend yesterday who is deeply in the loop, that every time people get raw and ask others to bear witness on their very private journey, we are looking for affirmation in some way of our wholeness. We are asking to be freed from shame. If you can love me like this, then I must be worthy of love. If you can see me and stand by me like this, I must be alright after all. The feedback loop acts as a healing on the way to truly know that we are all really enough. And to know that from deep inside ourselves. We can become our own loop. We can become enough to witness ourselves. I wonder when are playing with the strip it bear and feed back loop, that place that goes beyond vulnerability - if we are actually playing with what is known as Ego death . It is the second phase of Joseph Campbells description of The Heros Journey which includes a phase of separation, transition, and incorporation of self. The second phase is a phase of self-surrender and ego-death, where-after the hero returns to enrich the world with his discoveries. Its interesting to bring consciousness to how we Process and Become. What do you think?
