Been thinking recently about this Usain Bolt chap.Man,can this guy move.And i am seriously almost convincing myself his ancestors must have their roots in Kenya.Uasin Gishu to be precise.And he was named after one of his great great ancestors one Mr Boit.So the slave trader who bought the ancestor missed putting the dot at the top of the letter "i" in his roll call book and ended up writing BOIT,and someone thought,well why not just call him Bolt;some much easier and all that.And the Uasin must have been a bit of a mouthfull for the mzungu fellow and ended up writing down Usain to denote the batch of slaves bought from traders coming from the Uasin Gishu area. So they ended up with some fellows named Bolt from Boit,and Usain from Uasin with abilities to break and set records in athletics;just like some other great fellows i know from a certain region named Uasin in Kenya who have Boits in their lineages.
