Been to Medak. Having graduated from Osmania in MBBS and MS seeing deaths there day in and day out had killed our emotions to a large extent. There were times when my near ones, (my grand mother) whom I loved to heart, had passed away and I wanted to cry, but tears were not forthcoming. But what I saw in Medak today was heart-wrenching, indescribable. One parent lost all his three children, another his two. Bodies of small infants lying everywhere around traks, beside it, struck inside bus. Nothing I have ever seen as a doctor has prepared me for this. This is a situation no one should ever be, either as a spectator, witness, read in newspapers or see on TV, leave alone be a parent. I Dont think there is a God.
