Before/After contest: I came across my badge while cleaning my desk at work. This picture was taken last summer when I was thirty pounds heavier, unhealthy, and had absolutely no self-esteem. Anyone that new me 7 months ago before starting Shake Señora, knows that I would have rather died than ever take a selfie. I hated the way I looked and the only time Id take a picture was if a friend made me. Today, I am happily able to take a picture of myself...not just because my face is thinner, but because I feel so much better about myself. 7 months ago if someone would have told me that I would lose 30 lbs, make tons of new friends, got fit and healthy, gain confidence, and run 6 races including a 10k, I would have told them that they were on crack...but now I cant imagine my life any other way. I no longer hide when someone wants to take a picture of me. I no longer say I cant do that, because now, I know I can do anything :)
