Before Clive formed the PUP, and around the same time he was thinking of doing it. I had become angry. On the 22nd November 2012 I wrote down my charter for government. Clive has given many of us genuine citizens the opportunity to make a difference and to campaign for a better Australia. I will always be grateful for that Below is my reason for entering politics. Thursday, November 22, 2012 I am writing this as I am disillusioned, disappointed and angry with the system of government we have. I see the problems as being the emphasis on staying in power at the expense of governing. Governing this nation is a responsibility not a right. The cornerstone of fair government 1. The separation of powers: legislative, executive and judicial. The parliament, The Executive Government and “The Judicature” Main Role of Government An open democratic society needs a strong government with particular characteristics. It should be neither des-potic nor over-bureaucratic. It should exist within a legal framework based on the rule of law and the guideline protection of civil liberties. It should support a civil society. It should provide the eco¬nomic framework and the essential infrastructure for public and private enterprise. It should be concerned with the well-being of all citizens. It should protect the physical environment and it should act to alleviate the negative impacts of the market place on individuals, groups and environment. • To protect individual rights , to promote the individual above the collective 1. To protect property rights 2. To maintain the separation of powers Style of Government • Small government, reduce government size and reduce taxes • Non- secular • Based on a user pays economy • Honest taxation system. No tax haven holding companies. All Tax havens not recognized by the Australian Government, enemies of the state • Review all subsidies given to business • Review population policy • Review aid programs • Review medicare • Review welfare programs • Review education curriculum • Workplace reform. All unions are to be audited. No union can approach an employer for a donation of any kind. All membership dues are to be used for union activities. • Enterprises and employer groups are held in the highest esteem as they create employment and efficiencies of scale. Any obstruction to their operation will be settled by arbitration. The law of arbitration is binding for twelve months without appeal
