Before I criticize Lenku, Kimaiyo et al I think its good to be realistic and ask myself a few questions: 1. Pokot, Turkana and the people of Baringo... how are they like? What makes the fights flare up all the time? 2. How do we treat people with guns? Are they peaceful? Are they interested in peace? Are they capable of understanding where the rest of Kenya is? In my laymans understanding, the Pokot, Turkana and their brothers in Baringo are perhaps not fighting for cattle only. Perhaps its a fight over tribal supremacy, over power, over bragging rights, over resources... to reason with those morans may be waste of precious time & money. Perhaps we need the army to construct a barracks probably at Turkana-West Pokot border at Kainuk and probably a permanent GSU camp between Elgeyo Marakwet & Baringo counties. My reasoning? People with guns only understand things quickly if you brandish a superior weapon and your work will become law.
