Before I was in the peacemaking business, I was in the money making business -- of marketing. Until there came a day when I just couldnt sell another pair of shoes because I realized that its all a lie -- this artificial belief that causes a frenzy to have the newest (cars, shoes, clothes, gadgets) so that you can throw into the landfill the item before...and its critical to keep making more money and buying more yet somehow feeling like you have (and are) less. All the while having less to give and wanting to give less in cases when it would serve you well to give more. That is the insanity of the civilized world.
