Before Pakistan formed, we had a leader, Quaid-e-Azam, who was uncompromising and willing to fight. We had a people willing to fight. We had a people willing to lay down their life for the formation of a new nation. We had a people that cared more about everyone before they cared about themselves. We had a people that were willing to live hungry but not willing to give up on the dream of Pakistan. Today we have a new leader in Imran Khan with a movement for justice. We have a leader who just announced Civil Disobedience. We have a leader that has the will to fight. What we don’t have is the same jazba of the people that followed Quaid-e-Azam. Today Imran Khan announced Civil Disobedience but his own supporters chose to desert him. His own people asked questions not about Pakistan about themselves. A supporter commented that if he didn’t pay taxes and bills then he would lose his electrical and gas connections and asked “will Imran Khan give me new connections”? Imran Khan was wrong! Not about his decision but about the people of Pakistan. He had thought that the people of Pakistan would stand their ground and fight for their rights and show their worth just as he has shown. Yes Imran Khan was wrong. He thought the people of Pakistan were like him. We are not a people that want to fight for our rights, we simply wish to be given them. Why blame the government when the very people of Pakistan are gripped by nepotism. We care more about OUR house, OUR gas connection, OUR electrical connection, OUR health, OUR wealth, OUR family, OUR relatives, OUR business, OUR life. How can they create a Naya Pakistan? The slogan of Naya Pakistan implies a revolution. But for a revolution you need revolutionary people. How can a person who cares more about their own standard of living be a revolutionary? How can it be one who is offered freedom in exchange for a temporary hardship chooses comfort of their homes want a Naya Pakistan? Quaid was a leader but he had people willing to lay down their lives. We have a leader but a people that cannot even give up their phones. We have a people that cannot live without electricity. We have a people that do not wish to bear the heat without their AC. We have a people that do not want to fight for Pakistan. So Imran Khan you were wrong. These people are not revolutionary. They speak of Naya Pakistan but they don’t want to die for it. They don’t want to suffer for it. They want to attend rallies and then return home to enjoy the coolness of their air conditioners and the taste of that chicken biryani. They are not revolutionaries. Maybe I’m mistaken. So I ask this People of Pakistan. If you want a Naya Pakistan, are you prepared to fight for it. If so, then now is the time to fight. Your leader has given the call, and that call will indeed bring a change only if you are prepared to fight. Imran Khan said in the speech that “I’m about to put this people in a test” before he announced Civil Disobedience. Are you willing to face the test or did you imagine to achieve a Naya Pakistan without any sacrifice? Did you hope to achieve a Naya Pakistan with rallies, slogans and banners? O People of Pakistan remember what Iqbal said “Aey Tair-e-Lahooti, uss rizq say mout achi Jis rizq say aati ho, parwaz main kotahi”. Will you let loss of electrical and gas connections be a road block for a Naya Pakistan? That question is yours to answer. Today the true inqilabis will be known by their actions. Will you fight for Pakistan? Then know: Ghulami main na kaam aati hain shamsheerain, na tadbeerain Jo ho shok-e-yaqeen paida tou cut jaati hain zanjeerain Koi andaza ker sakta hai iss kay zor-e-bazu ka? Nigha-e-mard-e-momin say badal jati hain taqdeerain You have to fight together with Imran Khan just like those before us fought and aided our founder Muhammad Ali Jinnah! Ay Mard-e-Momin, wake up!!!! Jagoooo!!! Naya Pakistan is calling you. Answer its call!!
