Before coming to Phoenix, Arizona, I had learned many valuable life lessons in Harlem in the presents of one Mr. Richard Pee Wee Kirkland. The best of these lessons of that era was in my elders, who I realized now were grooming Pee Wee and I, to do great things because unlike most young black men in Harlem, rather than compete with each OTHER, we sought to genuinely understand what we secretly admired in each other without an atoms weight of envy! I recall being asked by Pee Wee: Shy, how do you feed an alligator? I had no answer so I just told him that. His answer to that question that I did not know, tells me without an atoms weight of envy in his heart came from God within him. So like a good big brother, he smiled and said: With a long spoon. (Smile) I protest because BLACK LIFE MATTERS!
