Before joining Portland Audubon as our avian conservation programs manager, biologist Joe Liebezeit spent nine years researching when shorebirds in arctic Alaska start nesting. The results of this study were recently published in the journal Polar Biology, and reveal that arctic migrants are nesting up to seven days earlier as the world warms. This is important work - thanks to Joe and his colleagues for their efforts.
