Before people jump up and down and say Im complaining again, may I please kindly suggest you read this statement extremely carefully. In this day and age, there are what most people call dating websites. Now I am aware of good ones and scam ones, that isnt my point. I am also aware people can use dating sites to scam people, but thats not my point either. I accept there are only about 500000 blind people in Australia and I accept not every blind person wants to use a dating website. However, why is it that dating websites develop their own messenger service programs, and then make it absolutely inaccessible for any blind person and yes Im also talking about partially blind people as they are the majority of the 500000 of the blind population? I accept developers of such programs may not have heard of screen readers but they wont even develop accessible programs for anyone who uses a screen reader. Is my money diseased or something? You cant catch blindness its not contagious. Time is up and the department of communications in Australia needs to penalise developers of these sites if theyre not even remotely interested in including just one single blind person, regardless of site or ability. Im not asking for accessible photos here people, just accessible websites, surely, Im not asking too much am I?
