Before the scripture tonight I want to write something that is on my heart. There are many step-dads today. It is really hard on them. I have not been in their shoes but I really respect them. Being able to deal with their inner wondering of can I do that, am I the right man to help raise this child, Will she really let me be a father figure? I just want each of you to know your in great company. Joseph the husband of Mary, the step- father of Jesus Christ is right there with you. God placed him in the place that he did because he trusted him. God put your children in your hands because he trusted you. God bless each of you and know you have my respect. Josephs first dream, Matthew 1: 18-21 18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ took place in this way. When his mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child from the Holy Spirit. 19 And her husband Joseph, being a just man and unwilling to put her to shame, resolved to divorce her quietly. 20 But as he considered these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 21 She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.”
