Before the snowy madness began this morning Timothy Bryant & I sat - TopicsExpress

Before the snowy madness began this morning Timothy Bryant & I sat in a courtroom as state witnesses for the incident we were victims of in April of 2013. Long story cut very short a man tried to hit us head on and when he was unsuccessful he came back and rammed us with his car three times and attempted to do a pit maneuver to make us wreck. As you can imagine this was a VERY horrific experience for us. Bowen was in the back and I was just days away from having Jack. We have been awaiting his court date for 9 months and today was the day. He claimed to have had a psychotic episode or mental breakdown. The judge sentenced him to 2 years in prison & 20 years of probation. While I am relieved that its over and feel that justice has been served I am also sad tonight. As I sat in the courtroom testifying as to what this man had put us through when it was all over I couldnt help but feel somewhat sorry for him. He is 31. Today he went straight to jail. He didnt get to go home to his 4 kids and play in the snow. The saddest part to me though had to be seeing his Dad tell him goodbye. I know if it was Bowen or Jack, while I would know they deserved punishment, it would still be my child. I pray that this man gets the help he claims he needs. That day was the most horrific day I have ever experience. Sometimes I still lay awake replaying it in my head. The amount of terror that streamed through my body was paralyzing. Im very thankful to God for keeping his hand on us that rainy night.
