Before they release the verdict on the Michael Brown - TopicsExpress

Before they release the verdict on the Michael Brown shooting. What is at stake here is freedom. Freedom of citizens to live in a community where they dont have to fear the men and women who are sworn to protect them. Freedom for the men and women who have sworn to protect its citizens to uphold justice, even if it costs lives. Where I think the system is flawed is that most police do not have to report justified killings. My question: Who deems them justified? As humans we all are flawed. We all lie, steal, cheat, our butts stink and we all have experienced injustice at some point in our lives. That includes police officers. Police killing statistics should be shared and acknowledged by any governing agency just like citizen killings are. Everyone who kills anyone should have to face a jury of his or her peers and have them deem it justified or not. With police dash cams, body cams, and sound recorders there should be enough proof RIGHT THERE to give a jury a reason to justify or not, a police killing. Bottom line. We all have family. We all have people who would have our back if we killed someone or robbed someone. There is Someone out there believes we are innocent. Is Michael Brown innocent? Is Darren Wilson? I wasnt there. But I bet a police cam, body cam, and sound recorder was on. I bet that evidence has been played at the trial. What ever the verdict. We need to change the mentality of both police and our generation of kids with little to no respect for them. No more unanswered killings! Ferguson and its results go deeper than what the media plays it. Deep into our families and our backyards. Here is one answer, looting stores and terrorizing your own community because of a death of a man thats insane… let the jury figure it out. A jury of your peers. How can we justify a death by looting and burning buildings down? We cannot. It makes us look guilty. If we stand as one people we will fall as one people. And i bet no one can take us all out. Police and citizens. One People.
