I sat through eight hours of discussion on the $200 million-plus dollars missing from Office of Group Benefits. The OGB blamed Obama Care for the shortfall, although it doesnt account for what happened BEFORE it took effect. State Rep. John Rogers Pope, R-Denham Springs, doesnt buy their claim, either. They gave the people so much spin Thursday that it made me dizzy, he told me. Both men tell it like is, regardless of the party affiliation. In my interview with the treasurer, he summed it plain and simple: The people of this state deserve the truth. Governor Bobby Jindal, meanwhile, was in New Hampshire on Thursday. Surprise.
