…Before your head hits the pillow… Are you - TopicsExpress

…Before your head hits the pillow… Are you ready? Tonight I am choosing to make an assumption. The assumption is that not everyone who has chosen to “like” this page actually knows Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. I think there are some who decided to “like” this page who have gone to church most if not all of their lives, but have never known that life changing that experience that we know as rebirth, or being born again. Being born again is not a term reserved only for certain denominations. Every person who has come to know the Lord has been reborn. They have put aside their old lives and are now living a new life in Christ. There are others who chose to “like” this page so that they could argue and others who are truly searching. When Jesus met with Nicodemus, He told him this, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” John 3:3. Yes, we must be born again! Right now we are living under a dome of grace. This period began when Christ died on the cross for our sins and it will end when Jesus arrives on this earth for His second coming. This time of grace is not infinite, it will not go on forever and ever. And our lives on this earth are not infinite, each of us will either leave this life in death or leave the world we know when Jesus returns. The question I have for each of my readers tonight is, are you ready? Are you ready to die? Are you ready for the end of the world as we know it? At the end of your life, whether that is at death or at Christ’s return you will face God. Either God will acknowledge that you have turned your life over to Him, or God will say that He does not know you. You will either spend eternity with our Heavenly Father or you will spend eternity in hell. I know this sounds harsh, but I feel it my responsibility to speak the truth of the Gospel. Each one of us will actually live eternally after the second coming. Some will live joyously with the Lord and some will live in eternal torment. There is only ONE way to heaven, only one way to spend an eternally blissful existence. Romans 10:9-10 tells us: That if you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. John 14:6 - Jesus answered, I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 6:44 - No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them, and I will raise them up at the last day.” Don’t fool yourself into believing that if you are just good enough you will go to heaven. Don’t fool yourself into believing that there is any other way to the Father, God, but through Jesus Christ. So while we are still under this dome of grace and while you still have breathe in your lungs, turn yourself over to Jesus. Tell him that you are sorry for the way you have lived your life. Ask Jesus to fill every part of your life. Acknowledge that you believe that Jesus died for YOUR sins that He then rose from the dead and ascended into heaven where He sits at the right hand of the Father. When you do this, hold tight to the promises of Romans 10 – that if you profess with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus is Lord, that you will live eternally with Him! Jesus came into this world to make a way for our sins not to hinder our relationship with God. When you turn your life over to Christ, He makes you white as snow. All of your sins are forgiven and the penalty for them has been paid! It is at this time that your relationship with the Creator of the universe will begin and what a relationship it is!! Now you will begin your new life. A life not always filled with comfort and ease, but a life filled with peace, with joy and with forgiveness. Begin this new life today!
