☆ Behavior Shaping☆ In general, when people dont have control of their dogs.. They are told they need to get their dog Trained.. And it is this exact piece of advice that gets many dogs labeled unhelpable or euthanized... Unless you work at it extensively like Police dogs and search and rescue dogs.. Training is only going to work when you have your treats and there is no outside stimulus..... Or if you have a low energy, passive but food driven dog..... Plus, training does nothing to help anxiety or balance an unbalanced mind... So if training was the answer, dogs would still listen when the doorbell went off... They will come back in the house when you call them from the yard.. Basically they will listen when something new or exciting is in their environment, but they dont.. I hear it all the time, they listen when they want to, or they have selective hearing.. No they dont, they just dont respect you and they make their own decisions. You must learn how to shape your dogs behavior before you concern yourself with obedience training. So you can show them how to act when the doorbell goes off, you can show them how to act when a skateboard goes by.. I know you know what Im talking about.. If youre interested, follow us!
