Behind the scenes tidbit: The state of New York City in the Vigilante Series grew out of two things I experienced first hand: 9/11 (and the months following) and the two Super Storms that hit the area. Expanding what happens if NYC is without commuters or tourists, I played with the idea of people looting the island on a grand scale. Not taking a television but taking a sports team. Or a museums contents. When it becomes more lucrative to let an area fall to ruin - while plundering all its riches - what happens to that place? Who can make use of it?
