Behold! I have looked, and in looking, have seen. And the sky was - TopicsExpress

Behold! I have looked, and in looking, have seen. And the sky was dark, for it was night. The stars forsook their heavenly visage, seeking ever to spare the innocence of their eyes from the terrors that roil beneath them. And lo, I appeared at the doorsteps of the shrine where above the golden archways perch to quell the fires of hunger from those in need. But such sustenance is not without cost, even if that cost is to know, to ponder things which have gone unbeknownst. For I looked, and beheld the fate of the setting sun. I have seen the trembling of the earth, from its highest peaks to its deepest foundation. I have basked in the terror of reason, drunk deeply of the ignorance of its ire, I have felt the helplessness of those who are without speech in the face of such devastation. I have heard the weeping and suffering of the creatures of the plain, and I have seen their resting place, and I, reticent of soul, could not but weep in silence as the tears were locked by horror. For theirs is not a place of rest, but of sound, filth, and fury. I would that I could instead father their rest, that they may be free of such bonds! But alas, I may only save but a few.
