Instead they buy hook, line, and sinker the reconstructed clap trap that the Supremacy Clause of the US Constitution can force us to endure unconstitutional federal action. Nuts! No less than Thomas Jefferson and the Father of the Constitution himself, James Madison, were the first to support the rights of the several sovereign states to defend themselves against the unconstitutional over-reach of the US Government. They wrote the Virginia and Kentucky Resolves in opposition to Sam Adams and the Federalist controlled Congress’s Alien and Sedition Acts vitiating the First Amendment. The States created the US Government. The Creators can bind themselves, but how can the creature, the factor, exceed its mandate and then impose its will on the Creators? Logically it cannot.
