Being Born Again (Bertie Brits) We are going to look at the heart of John 3 when it speaks of being born again. The message of being born again, for so many years, has been shared as just a fire escape out of hell. A preacher will make people scared of hell and then say, You must be born again. So, out of fear, people agree. Well, that is not the heart of John 3. Actually, in the Greek, it does notsay, Be born again, but rather, Be born from above. When Jesus spoke about this birth from above, He spoke about Himself as being a man seated in the heavens with the Father.How are the Father and the Son one? They are in the Trinity. Jesus knew the union he hadwith the Father and it was the desire of His heart, born from the Father, for every humanbeing to be in that union. In John 17:22, Jesus says , And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: There are people who say,The whole world is born again. Yet, others who say, In order for God to bless you, you must fully commit your life to Christ and live right. Gods real intent was for us to come to the revelation of the gospel, believe upon that, and have the quality of life possessed in the Trinity...........We are born from above when we can believe and say, Wow, Jesus came to nail the law system, my disqualification, all my sins, everything Ive ever done wrong to the cross.That is what John 3 teaches. This is the picture we paint when we share the gospel so that a person can look at that and believe in Jesus finished work so they can have new life. Why paint the picture of hell and fear when we can paint the picture of Gods acceptance, the innocence of people?.......Your life starts by seeing all of your disqualification nailed to the cross, perfect innocence.
