Being a Christian is not easy, but it is worth it. Yes, God is a loving Father, but He is also a just God. Don’t mistake His mercy for passivity. Consequences are real. Sin and death are real. Life in Christ, both here on earth and eternally are real. Becoming a Christian is more than “asking Jesus in your heart.” It’s a life lived in the shadow of the cross. Constantly striving to emulate our Savior in every way. The Christian walk is not easy. "We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God." Acts 14:22 Hardships are when we are able to grow in our faith because they require us to lean completely on our Savior. "In the world you will have trouble. But take heart! For I have overcome the world." John 16:33 But in the end, everything we struggled with on earth is worth it. I can only imagine hearing my Savior say “Well done my good and faithful servant.” Not one earthly challenge is worth forfeiting our heavenly reward. -Anonymous
